In the short term, the focus is on helping individual users effortlessly find tools that fit their needs. Long-term, the platform will evolve to support companies in promoting their products and increasing exposure.

AI Tools Are Everywhere, but Finding the Right One Is Hard
Finding the right AI tool shouldn’t feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Search results are unreliable, comparisons are overwhelming, and there’s little guidance to make a confident choice. These roadblocks create a high-friction experience, making AI adoption harder than it should be.

It helps connect users with the right AI tools quickly and help AI tool providers gain visibility. Users can start with search and filter system, browse tools from the comprehensive AI tool listings, keep informed about the latest trends and development by reading "Today's AI News" and "Tools Added Today" sections.

Search Engine, Filter and Sorting System
The search engine presents Top Categories and Hot Search , Search Association to provides insights for users during search. Category filters and sorting options on the side further narrows down users search results and help locate desired tools.

The tool detail page communicates the unique selling points and key differentiators via concise introduction, media previews , feature lists, user cases, user rating and reviews, and alternative tools. Meanwhile it offers side advertising spots for other tools to increase exposure.

Monetization Strategies: Submit Your AI Tool & Choose Promotion Plans
Submit page including clear instructions, forms and FAQ sections streamlined the AI tool submission process and allows platform admins to review. Moreover, Get Featured page enables business customers to easily compare and select their ideal promotion plan from distinguishable pricing tiers and clear benefit comparisons .

Understanding the AI Tool Search Experience
To design a platform that truly meets user needs, I conducted user research to explore how people currently find, evaluate, and select AI tools. I interviewed 8 participants and ran 2 tasks to uncover their search behaviors, pain points, and decision-making criteria.
01.Search is essential, but not always effective
87% of users rely on keyword searches, but often struggle with inaccurate or irrelevant results.
02.Ratings and reviews matter
75% of users check reviews and compare similar tools before making a decision.
03.Lack of guidance/tutorials
Many users, especially those new to AI, seek recommendations and better onboarding.
04.Filtering should be simple
Users prefer intuitive, price-focused filters without overly complex sorting options.

Integrate different search suggestions such as top tool categories, hot searches, search history when it is clicked and search associations when users are typing

How to Improve informed AI tool selection process?

Users can preview an AI tool’s key summaries and quickly compare with other tools before clicking into detail pages. considering user’s priority to view information, we Highlight key features, tags, image/video, short description to help users differentiate tools in a short time.

To fully use the space of the website page and encourage user engagement, I designed and iterated "Tool Major Information" Section and "Rating & Review System" below.
